After graduating from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas in 1978 as a star track athlete, Paul earned a full-ride track scholarship to Cloud Community College in Concordia, Kansas. After completing his studies and continuing to be a top sprinter, he received his two-year associate's degree in business.  After graduating from Cloud, he again earned a full-ride, athletic scholarship to study and compete in track as a "Razorback," for the University of Arkansas (U of A) in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  He excelled immensely while running for Arkansas and was a member of two indoor and two outdoor NCAA championship teams.  He was also a member of two collegiate world-record relay teams.  As a result of his athletic accomplishments, Paul qualified for the 1980 U.S. Olympics, which unfortunately was the year the U.S.boycotted them.  In 1983, he graduated from the U of A with his Bachelor of Science degree in education.    After leaving Arkansas, he returned to Kansas City, Kansas and accepted a teaching position at Coronado Middle School.  Paul taught for two years before going to work for the Fire Department, after earning a degree in fire science from Kansas City Kansas Community College.  On the days that he's not working as a firefighter, he is substitute teaches for the Kansas City Kansas Public Schools and has for over 30 years.  In addition, he coached for Kansas City Kansas Community College for ten years.  Paul has coached both cross-country and track for his high school alma mater, Wyandotte, and has for the last 15 years.

Danielle Wilson came to KCU! as the Cheer Ambassador/Sports Board Member for KCU! in 2019. With over 15+ years of Youth Leadership, Certified Management Training, Certified Youth Volunteer and Cheer experience she productively, proudly and effectively maintains the Bi-Laws, Mission(s) and goals of the KCU! She coordinates with KCU! Sports Director and Commissioner(s) to manage game day schedule for both weekly and special events. In advocating for expanding and improving the cheer program she also assist the KCU! Youth Cheer Coaches/volunteers responsible for coordinating leadership camps, day-to-day activities of each of the Cheer squads, and game day/special event preparation. Just as we as KCU! Youth Sports are proudly training and conditioning our youth for sports and life in a secondary and high school football capacity, Danielle’s intentions, goals and desires are to extend the same exposure, opportunities and assistance to the youth cheerleaders of KCU!

Andrea Hicks brings over 18+ years of knowledge, training and experience in youth sports. KCU welcomed Andrea in 2019 as Co-Commissioner. What once started as a mom helping her sons flags football team has now blossomed into her love and dedication for youth football/sports. She saw a need for assistance and stepped in immediately and has been creating and growing opportunities for youth sports on both the Missouri and Kansas side of the Kansas City.

Certified in Youth Leadership Management Training, Youth Volunteer, Coach/Team Mom Training (just to name a few) she effectively maintains and updates the Bi-Laws, Mission(s) and goals of KCU in accordance with the USA Football standards and regulations. She maintains excellent partnerships with

our Community Partners and other organizations. Along with our other Co-Commissioner, Andrea creates and manages multiple game day schedules and special events such as: our monthly 7 on 7 Flag game days, season tackle games, training Jamborees and Super Saturday events. Andrea ensure that the Coaches, players, parents and volunteers associated with KCU are honoring the rules and maintaining the code of conduct set for by KCU Board Members. Her methods and her heart ensure everyone is treated both respectfully and fairly, not just game day, but every day.
